Overview
RGI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hydraulics Engineer to support a variety of drainage and civil engineering projects. This role involves performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, preparing drainage design plans, and developing construction documents using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Job Description
Duties & Requirements
- Prepare drainage design plans for a variety of civil engineering projects
- Perform drainage analysis and storm sewer modeling using programs such as Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA) or equivalent
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for a variety of civil engineering projects
- Prepare construction plans and details using AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Prepare design and quantity calculations
- Prepare reports and other documentation
- Perform site visits and inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering required
- 4 - 7 years of experience, minimum
- Willing to work on a variety of different project types.
- Ability to visit and safely traverse project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
- Holds a Professional Engineering (PE) license (Indiana preferred), or is eligible to sit for the PE exam within one year.
Preferred Experience with:
- INDOT transportation experience
- AutoCAD
- Civil3D
- Microsoft Office products include Excel and Word
