Overview
Due to department and company growth, Resolution Group, Inc. (RGI) is seeking an experienced Construction Inspection Team Lead in the following INDOT Districts: Seymour & Vincennes. Qualified candidates will have experience observing, testing and administering INDOT and LPA infrastructure projects and more importantly, have experience leading teams of inspectors. The candidate should also demonstrate a willingness and ability to grow local relationships with INDOT and LPAs.
Job Description
Duties & Requirements
- Lead the business development effort for the Construction Inspection Group for the INDOT District and surrounding LPAs. Will also be responsible for cross-marketing other company services.
- Provide inspection and testing for various roadways, bridges, utility and traffic construction and rehabilitation projects
- Read and interpret construction plans, project specifications, supplemental documents, and as-builts
- Prepare detailed daily field reports with photo documentation
- Provide cut and fill quantity calculations
- Provide quality checks on contractors’ product and work
- Inspect the contractors’ materials and installation methods in accordance with the approved plans and specifications
- Familiarity with INDOT Change Order operations
- SiteManager (Field Assistant) experience a plus
Job Requirements
- High school degree required
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- 5-10 years+ of experience in inspection or testing of infrastructure projects
- Have INDOT Certified Technician’s certifications: Bridge Construction and Deck Repair, Concrete Paving, Construction Earthworks, Construction Procedures 1, Construction Procedures 2 and Hot Mix Asphalt Paving
- Effective communication skills
- Mentoring less experienced staff to aid in their professional development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver's license
